Must tell you about some organizations... Here in Ft. Myers Florida they
have SHRIMP FESTIVAL. It is also spring break for many colleges and it
is the warmest day yet at the public beach-----
soooooooo they close the main bridge to the island where the beach is at
9 am this morning till 12 pm. Two of the detour routes have construction
and one way traffic.---- On the news last night it was stated this is
our scheduled event second saturday every March.... If no one listened
to last nights news or lives here ---- HOW ARE THEY TO KNOW?????????

Why would TPTB pick that day to close the roads? If this is a yearly thing
they certainly must have known about it.

It is a yearly thing, but every year hundreds of new people come down
plus spring breakers, how should they know? Who will tell them??????

That is dumb, dumb, dumb. It's really amazing that so many of the
people running our cities lack common sense.

I'm sure it was a mess. I just pity the people who might have needed
ambulance care or police care.
